Overview

This website is operated by Cameron Ashley, a freelance web designer and developer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what information is collected when you use this site and how it is handled.

What is collected

Google Analytics 4 and Metricool are used to measure website visits and activity. The Meta Pixel sends PageView events to Meta and Lead events after accepted enquiries and site-check requests. The contact and site-check forms also send a generate_lead event to Google Analytics after acceptance. These measurement events do not include the form fields. The TikTok Pixel sends page view events to TikTok for advertising measurement. The project enquiry form, free site-check form and optional project assistant form collect the details you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, preferred reply method, website, project needs, message and budget range. Callback requests use your number only to respond by call or text. The assistant may also ask for organization and timing details. If the AI project assistant is enabled, the messages you enter are sent to the configured AI provider to generate a reply. If you book a meeting, Google Calendar collects the booking details under Google's privacy policy. If you email me directly, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to share.

Analytics

Google Analytics collects visit and session statistics, approximate location, and browser and device information. It stores a client ID in a first-party _ga cookie to distinguish visitors and sessions. Metricool is also loaded to provide website analytics reports. The Meta Pixel sends a PageView event on page load and a Lead event after a project enquiry is successfully accepted; the TikTok Pixel sends page view events. Meta and TikTok may use cookies or similar technologies for advertising measurement. Analytics data is used to understand site usage and improve the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; this may limit analytics measurement.

How information is used

Information you provide is used to review and respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, or deliver agreed work. When configured, the contact and site-check forms send your details to the form delivery service selected for this website. When that service is not configured, an email link lets you send the request through your own email app; preparing that link does not send a request. The project assistant sends enquiry details through Mailgun to the private business mailbox. Website analytics data is processed by Google and Metricool to provide usage reports. PageView and Lead events are sent to Meta through the Meta Pixel, and page view events are sent to TikTok through the TikTok Pixel, for advertising measurement. Information is never sold or rented and is shared with service providers as needed to operate the site, email, analytics and scheduling.

Data retention

For project assistant submissions, the website database stores keyed technical fingerprints and timestamps for rate limiting and duplicate prevention, rather than the enquiry fields or message. Retention by a configured contact or site-check delivery service depends on that service and its settings. Enquiry emails and project correspondence are kept only as long as needed to review the request, deliver agreed work and meet legal or bookkeeping obligations, and can be deleted on request where permitted.
